Roots of Knowledge
Supporting Identity, Connection & Autonomy in Early Childhood Education
Welcome
Welcome to my Master of Education in Early Childhood Education graduating e-portfolio. I invite you to take a walk amongst the trees with me. Together we'll reflect on our roots and the knowledge we hold of children's connection to self and place, explore the barriers that hold us back from climbing to the top, and challenge our ways of being and doing with children that are limiting their freedom to autonomously explore and navigate their worlds with confidence.
Like a walk in the woods, this journey will challenge us. We may be unprepared for changing elements, get caught up on stubborn roots, slip, fall, be overcome by fear, get caught in the dark, uncertain of our direction; but, it is in challenge and with discomfort that we become stronger, more stable, and better able to withstand the shifts in our environment that will inevitably happen through time.
Let's get started! To navigate this path with me, follow the trail set forth for you by clicking on each arrow at the bottom of the page; or, if you prefer to tread your own path, use the navigation bar on the left hand side (computer) or top right (tablet or mobile device) to venture as you feel so inspired.
